Meet The Paralegal

About Melanie Carter

Melanie is a board-certified family law paralegal from London, England, who has worked with Mary since 2019.  Melanie earned her Law Decree at the University of Kent at Canterbury and went on to complete the post-graduate Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford, Surrey.  Melanie relocated to Texas in 2007 and completed the Paralegal Certificate Program with the Professional Development Institute at UNT.  Melanie earned her board certification in family law in 2024.

Melanie is a diligent and caring paralegal who makes every effort to respond to our client’s needs in an efficient and comprehensive manner. She takes the time to listen to each client and ensure that they are prepared and have everything they need as their case progresses.

In her spare time, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and taking their dog for walks. She is an avid Premier League fan and grew up supporting her local London team, Crystal Palace.  Melanie also enjoys working out with Peloton and spending time on home improvements and gardening.
